About the course

Navos

When Navos’ debut single ‘Believe Me’ was released on Soundcloud in November 2020, it racked up 10,000 plays almost overnight. Buoyed by the success, Navos (real name Ross Harrington) decided to upload the track to Tik Tok too, where it became a viral sensation and was quickly snapped up by Island Records. It went on to become gold-certified as it became a permanent fixture on the UK ‘Top 40’ for over 20 weeks and surpassed 120 million global Spotify streams.

But while going from juggling a job at a furniture shop with university and making music in your spare time, to creating a dance anthem that’s racking up millions of plays in less than half a year might seem like the definition of an overnight success, for the 22-year-old from Ormskirk near Liverpool, it’s been in the making since infant school.

He started playing guitar around the age of five and quickly found he was able to turn his hand to whatever instrument he picked up. But it was going to an Avicii concert in Manchester, aged 15, that inspired Ross to turn his hands to production.

With subsequent big releases such as the acclaimed single ‘You & I’, a track that has amassed 12m+ Spotify streams and a slew of remixes, Navos is proving that he’s here to stay.
