Blend Classical and Electronic music

About the course

Learn the secrets behind Kate Simko’s signature fusion of Chicago-influenced electronic music and traditional instrumentation. If you’ve ever been interested in adding some orchestral flavour to your tunes but were too intimated by all the classical jargon, this is the place to start.

What you’ll learn

Kate Simko takes you through how she brings together the two worlds of orchestral and electronic music to create a sound that is as powerful as it is unique. Even if you’ve never worked with live instrumentation before, you’ll learn what it takes to work with musicians and turn your MIDI into clear notation.

Get ready to learn:
  • How to add orchestral instruments to give your electronic tracks a completely different sound.
  • How to start off your projects to get a solid foundation for your instrumental parts.
  • How to easily write for live instruments from within your DAW.
  • How to manipulate MIDI and notation to make working with live musicians simple and easy.
  • How to keep on top of and balance out large-scale projects with lots of tracks.
  • How to prepare to take your tunes to the stage and perform your projects live.
