Moved to Liverpool for uni and never looked back! Originally from South London, Brixton which massively shaped my own identity; culturally and musically. Always been heavily involved from young age in advocating for arts accessibility especially within my local community, myself and Matty (another GDS member) actually used to run nights for young aspiring artists when we were in our teens! I trained as a youth worker after graduating whilst working in a nightclub/being a promoter; and founded GDS during that time! We started as a club night booking other aspiring female DJs! I teach DJing part time in a girls school for year 7 girls and I love it. Been very lucky to tour and travel but this is the stuff that means a lot to me and always has! I really care about bringing girls in as well as other marginalised communities; being mixed race & growing up with working class immigrant parents will always be at the forefront of my work and passions; I want to help and motivate more people like me to get their foot in the door, because it isn't easy! I feel like over the years I've learnt a lot and want to share it especially to that next gen of artists! I am very vocal and always have been politically also and I feel like the 2 will always be interlinked, music is resistance!
