Benny Mails is a South-London based Rapper, Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Sound-Designer, DJ, Music Director, Consultant, Creative Director and Voice-Over Actor.
Over his 10 year career in the music industry he has accumulated over 10 million streams across DSP’s, sold out 2 London headline shows, supported the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, Loyle Carner, Flume, Yung Lean & many more. He’s performed at a handful of festivals including Lovebox, Pitchfork, ALT Ldn, The Great Escape & Leeds Festival.
Since 2016 Benny has been heavily supported by a plethora of notable publications such as, SHOWstudio, The Financial Times, i-D, Wonderland, Complex & more. He also performed his song 'Mantra' for the iconic YouTube platform 'COLORS'.
Benny played the voice of ‘Andy’ alongside Kadeem Ramsay, Dexter Fletcher and Jason Flemyng in Jamie Oliver’s recent Amazon best-selling children’s audio-books.
Benny has worked within the fashion space for over 8 years. Notably working on sound-design and music direction for Bianca Saunders over 6 seasons. He has worked as a film production manager in the fashion & culture space for the last 4 years, working with the likes of: Burberry, Gucci, Zara, Nike & Adidas.
In 2022, Benny curated a project with Nike & SNS supporting 15 up-and-coming musicians in London by providing 6 weeks of studio time at Miloco’s legendary mix room ‘The Red Room’ in Bermondsey, South London. He also curated a plethora of mentors for the programme including: Amaarae, iOcheffin, Komali Scott Jones, Sheniece Charway, Enny, Elijah (Butterz) & Kelvin Krash.
In June of 2022, Benny creative directed a live performance with Central Cee for Nike & Nocta (Drake’s brand). He also curated 3 up-and-coming musicians to be invited to the session & receive mentorship from Central Cee.
